Free Parenting Classes at Roosevelt ES

Free Parenting Classes at RES With Snacks!

Starting Wednesday evening November 28th from 5 to 6PM, Roosevelt Elementary is offering a parenting class for parents of Kindergarten and First Grade students. This eight-session event is being facilitated by Kevin Oiseau, School Counselor and Allison Archer, BHR therapist.

We will be reading together “The Whole Brain Child, 12 Revolutionary Strategies to Nurture Your Child’s Developing Mind,” by Daniel Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson. Roosevelt has purchased a book set which can be checked out from our library. Additionally, we will be using the workbook developed in tandem with “The Whole Brain Child.” Copies of the workbook will be available for us to use together.

We will be supporting each other in problem-solving real-time issues using our collective wisdom. Parents will be encouraged to submit anonymously situations they are dealing with and together we will work to brain storm ways to apply what we are learning directly to our lives.

Child care is provided on site with light snacks (apples, cheese sticks, and popcorn) and books and games.

If you are interested in attending our first session please contact, Kevin Oiseau, school counselor, at 360 596 6723, or [email protected]
