Back To School Night

I have figured out a schedule for supply drop-off on the afternoon of September 7th.  My purpose with this schedule is to limit the number of people in the building at any one time.  The times are organized by alphabet for your student’s last name.  If you can’t come during your assigned time, you can come during a different time.  Just trying to spread people out a bit.

4:00 PM: A-F

4:30 PM: G-L

5:00 PM: M-R

5:30 PM: S-Z

Please plan to spend about 15-20 minutes doing the supply drop off and meeting the teacher.  You are welcome to walk the building and take a look around.

Also remember that masks are required inside the school for everyone, regardless of vaccination status.

Supply Lists

I have school supplies available for anyone that needs them.  If purchasing creates a hardship in any way, please let us know.  We are happy to help.

Arrival and Dismissal

Preschool, kindergarten, and first grade students

  • Arrival and dismissal will happen at the front of the building.  Staff members will be on hand beginning at 7:45 AM.  I will have signs on the wall where students can line up when they arrive.  I will have runners taking kids to classrooms in small groups.

  • If you want to stay in your car, use the traffic circle at the front of the school.

  • You can also park in the parking lot and walk up to the front.

  • Walking/biking to school is highly encouraged.

2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students

  • Arrival and dismissal will happen at the back of the building.  Gates will open in the morning at 7:45 AM and in the afternoon at 2:10 PM.  Buses come in first, then cars.  Enter the playground by car off of Garrison St.

  • If you are in your car, you will wait for the buses to leave, then we will have cars come through.  Greeters will say good morning and help kids out of cars.

  • If you are parking, please do not enter campus through the back.  Come around to the front of the school and enter through the side gate by the mini building.

  • Walking/biking is highly encouraged.  Please come through the front of campus and enter the side gate by the mini building.

Water Bottles at School

Please have your child bring a water bottle to school every day.  We have bottle filling stations around the school.  This will help us not use the drinking fountains.  Let me know if you need help getting one.

Lunches at School

Every day, students will have indoor and outdoor eating options.  Whether eating inside or outside, students will have a minimum of 6 feet of distance.  During lunch, kids will eat their lunch and then be allowed to go outside and play.  They will not need to wait in the cafeteria or gym when they are finished eating.  For outdoor eating, I will have a tent for shade and shelter.  If you have a strong preference for what you want your child to do at lunch, please coach them to select the option that you are most comfortable with.  I will make sure both options are available.

District COVID Safety Letter

Please make sure you take a minute to review this letter sent by our Superintendent’s office.

Most importantly, please do not send students to school when they are sick.  Even minor cold symptoms should remain home at this point.  Thank you for helping us keep everyone healthy and safe.
