Welcome back to School

Welcome Back To School!

The start of a new school year is always exciting, and we can’t wait to see our students back at Roosevelt! We’re looking forward to reconnecting with returning families, welcoming new ones, and watching our students learn and grow throughout the year. We have a lot of great things planned and are excited to get the year started. Here’s to a wonderful year of learning, growing, and making great memories together!

Wednesday, September 2
  • Meet the Teacher and Supply Drop Off 2pm-3:30pm
  • PTA hosts a gathering on the playground for games, music, and fun until 4:00 p.m.  Sweetlee’s Ice Cream truck will be on the playground scooping up your favorite flavors, and donating a percentage of every sale back to the PTA!
Thursday, September 3
  • First day of school for grades 1-5!
  • First day is a full day of school with dismissal at 2:15pm.
Friday, September 4
Monday, September 7
  • Labor Day- No School
Tuesday, September 8
  • Fifth graders will be introduced to band and orchestra instruments at school.
Wednesday, September 9
  • First day of school for kindergarten-EARLY RELEASE AT 1:25pm
Thursday, September 10
  • First Day of preschool
 
Meet the Teacher

Meet the Teacher and Supply Drop Off

Please join us on September 2nd, for our annual Back to School event. Our classrooms will be open and teachers will be available to meet with students and their families from 2pm-3:30pm. In addition, our PTA will host a gathering on the playground with popsicles for our students from 2pm-4pm.

Please be aware that our classrooms will close promptly at 3:30pm so our teachers can join the festivities. Thank you for your consideration.
 
School Drop Off and Pick Up
 

School Drop Off and Pick Up

Here is some important information about our drop-off and pick-up systems and safety expectations.
  • Students will not be allowed to walk through the parking lot or across a road to get to a vehicle.
  • When using the parent loop, parents should pull up as far into the loop as possible.
  • Students will then be directed to their cars.
  • Please do not exit your cars to get your student as this stalls the line.
  • Families may choose to park and walk to the front of the school to meet their student or use our pick-up and drop-off loop.
Student Drop-Off
  • Please use the parent loop at the front of the school to drop off your student.
  • Students in Kindergarten and 1st grade will wait in the designated area at the front of the building.
  • Students in 2nd thru 5th grade will walk to the back of the school and wait in their designated spots next to the building.
  • Cars may not drop students off at the back of the school near the buses. No cars are allowed on the bus driveway.
Student Pick-Up
  • Students who ride the bus will be dismissed at the back of the school and walk directly to their  assigned bus.
  • Students who are being picked up by a family member will be dismissed by their classroom teacher at the front of the school.
Please ask your student where their designated drop off and pickup areas are. This will help you know where to meet them each day or where to look for them when using the parent loop.

Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 1:25 PM
AM Preschool: 8:00-10:30 AM
PM Preschool: 11:45 AM - 2:15 PM
 

Free Breakfast and Lunches for ALL STUDENTS

We are excited to share that all Roosevelt students will receive free breakfast and lunch  this school year!This is possible because so many of our families took the time to complete the Free and Reduced-Price Meal application. Thank you for your support!
It is very important that all families complete a Free and Reduced-Price Meal application each year, even if you think you may not qualify. The number of families who complete the forms helps determine whether we can continue offering free meals to all students in future years. Please make completing the form a priority—it truly makes a difference for our school community. Thank you!

Class Placements

Class placements are finalized and can be accessed through Family Access in Skyward. You can access Skyward from the homepage of the Roosevelt website.
When you log into Family Access, please take a moment to make sure your contact information, including your email address and phone number, is current and up to date.
 
School Supply List

Supply List

Please review the grade level supply list here or they are all available on the Roosevelt website. There is one supply list for each grade level. Please be sure to bring your school supplies to our Open House. This makes it much easier on than bringing them the first day of school.
 

Does Your Student Need to Ride the Bus? Families Must Register with Transportation.

If your student plans to ride the bus to and from school in the 2026-27 school year, please register each student using this
